Chumba Casino Launches Full iOS App With Sweeps Coin Play

VGW launched a full Chumba Casino iOS app on Nov. 2, 2026, adding Sweeps Coin play, Face ID login, and live sync that the Lite app lacked.

VGW announced on November 2, 2026 that Chumba Casino now has a full app on Apple's App Store, replacing the limited "Chumba Lite" app that only offered free-to-play Gold Coin games. The new app brings Sweeps Coin gameplay, live-dealer games, and progressive jackpots to iPhone for the first time, and VGW says it mirrors the desktop site and syncs player profiles, balances, and gameplay history in real time across browser and app.

The app adds Face ID and Touch ID login, mandatory identity verification, and 21-plus age-gating through the App Store, and Sweeps Coin play is restricted to states where it hasn't been banned or where VGW hasn't already pulled it back under a cease-and-desist order. VGW's chief product and revenue officer, Scott Milford, called the launch "an exciting milestone" and said the goal was for switching between browser and app to feel "completely fluid." The company says the Chumba Lite app will be phased out over time, with existing Lite users notified about the switch; no Android release has been confirmed.

The timing follows a rough stretch for VGW's sweeps business: Oklahoma's ban took effect the day before this launch, Kentucky sued the company in June without first sending a cease-and-desist, and Florida filed a 74-page complaint in August alleging VGW generated more than $5 billion in 2025 revenue - $3.7 billion of it from Chumba alone - without a license, on top of the $8 million VGW agreed to pay New York in September. Seen against that backdrop, a polished native iOS app reads less like routine maintenance and more like VGW investing to keep players inside the Chumba brand in the states where sweeps play still works, even as the company builds out non-sweeps products elsewhere in its portfolio, including the Hasbro-licensed Monopoly Match and a real-money, horse-racing-based product called Chumba Spins.

We don't have an affiliate relationship with Chumba Casino or VGW on this site, so there's no conflict to flag - we're just tracking how one of the sweeps industry's biggest operators keeps adapting its biggest brand as the legal map underneath it keeps shrinking.
