Three Sweepstakes Casinos Closed in September 2026
LuckyLand Slots, CoinFrenzy, and The Win Zone all shut down within weeks of each other as regulatory pressure on the sweepstakes casino model intensified.
September 2026 was a rough month for the sweepstakes casino industry. LuckyLand Slots - one of VGW's three brands, alongside Chumba Casino and Global Poker - shut down on September 14, 2026. CoinFrenzy closed shortly after, following September 7. The Win Zone ended gameplay on September 24, 2026, with redemption requests due by October 23, 2026.
None of the three closures came with a detailed public explanation tying them to a specific lawsuit or law, but the timing lines up with a broader run of enforcement: VGW's $8 million New York settlement landed September 9, and Florida's attorney general sent ad-platform warning letters September 24 - the same day The Win Zone ended gameplay.
If you had an active balance on any of these three, check each operator's own redemption deadline and process directly - we can't speak to account-specific details, and acting before a stated cutoff matters.
